Check This Out!
If you're reading this, then it's a celebration of technology and me working together in harmony. You see, normally the way that these blogs work is that I just write an email or something containing random guff about my very average and at times mundane lifestyle. I then send this to Aled or Hoop Dogg or some other geek in online who puts it on the website for me using computer magic. However it seems that they'd prefer me to do this myself, so i'm currently blogging alone with the aid of some computer programme link thing, which will hopefully work.
A similar situation arose at the weekend when I went to a tesco metro thingy in manchester and had to self scan all of my items. It was a nightmare, and while this technology was supposed to make life easier and speed up the check out experience, it actually delayed things while frantic tesco operatives had to help me self scan all my shopping, when it could have all been done in half the time on a traditional manned checkout. At the end of the day, it's not about making life easier, it's about saving money by employing less people which in turn most probably results in unemployment, drugs problems, ram raiding, mugging, happy slapping and the decay of society as we know it, all because someone thinks that self blogging and self scanning checkouts are the future.
Well It's not my future. Come the revolution
Kind Thoughts
Dave.
ps If there's no piccy on this blog, apologies. I haven't learnt how to do that yet.

So Dave, I agree that they are stupid.

I once had a car stolen and was hoping that the police would eventually find it had been used in an ambitious, ram raiding robbery in Leeds or wherever.
It eventually turned up 5 miles out of town. On a travellers site. Stipped of parts.
Disappointingly, it made for a less exciting acendote.
Not really worth a mention.

What if I don't want to place it in the bag? What if the shelf is full and there's no more room to place the item, in or out of the bag. If I wanted to steal it I wouldn't bother bringing it to the register anyway! Why are they weighing my items?? Argh! Stupid stupid stupid!
