Norman Wisdom in Last of the Summer Wine

As ´óÏó´«Ã½ News reported, friends and colleagues of Sir Norman Wisdom have been paying tribute to the iconic comedy performer, who passed away earlier this week.

Tomorrow, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Scotland's Comedy Zone will be celebrating the work of Sir Norman by broadcasting an interview with his son, Nicholas, which was recorded in 2005.

This is the ultimate tribute to Alabania's favourite foreign comedian and the perspective Nicholas Wisdom gives on his father is fascinating. He reveals that the pressure to follow his dad into showbusiness was so great that he side-stepped it and opened a sports shop instead.

Hoever, it appears goofing around is still in the blood and admits he can't help doing pratfalls in front of the customers. He recounts mealtimes with Norman where his dad would turn all the kitchen utensils, plates and saucers into a full drumkit - and once imitated an aeroplane with his fingers before making a crash landing in a freshly-baked Ginger Cake (much to his wife's fury).

Nicholas even reveals the background to his father's famous comedy trip-up in front of the Queen when he received his Knighthood in 2000. As Nicholas explains in this clip, it didn't make him laugh - quite the opposite:
