Cornwall's Labour members preferred David to Ed Miliband

Graham Smith | 13:41 UK time, Tuesday, 28 September 2010

David Miliband got 231 votes, Ed got 196, Ed Balls got 88, Andy Burnham 41 and Dianne Abbott 38. Ed then sneaked it on the second preferences. There were three spoiled ballot papers. The Labour Party issued 793 ballot papers in Cornwall, which gives some indication of the party's overall countywide support. Turnout across the six constituencies averaged 75%.
