oh it's all getteing too exciting for words!
I do hope that it is the Parma Ham incident !
Now THAT is what I call a public service!
Fifi xx
I think it will be Parma Ham. It will make a nice addition to my dinner menu! I'd also like the Golden Joystick moment, the thing that inspired me to write an email to PM, get it read out and then discover the blog! It has very special memories for me!
Oh but I'm going to have my work cut out helping Santa remember what you all wanted for Christmas.
I still don't have any clues for the PM team.
Mary
Father Eddie. My new Christmas Saint. Bless, bless!
Gaah!!! I may not get a chance to log on 'til Wednesday, as I'm at my sisters' place from Saturday, and it'll be difficult to get computer time over there, what with my parents, my sister, my brother-in-law, and neice all wanting to use the PC at times:(( As long as it's either the Parma Ham or the Golden Joysick, I'll be happy...
Thank you very much Eddie. You deserve an award for services to radio blogging.
So, Eddie, some special Christmas Beach straplines for your to consider:
"Turkey with Mair".
"Father Christmair's Present"
'Mair for Nollaig"
"Ooooh mair tea vicar? Ah hope it wisni Elsie's neep sconettes that garred ye pump sae fell." (Translation: Ooooh more tea vicar? I do hope it was not Elsie's small turnip scones that made you pass wind so fiercely.)"
Now, Eddie. You asked us something on the Beach, and Fifi and I have come up with a couple of ideas for you to consider.
When you've a mo in your extremely busy timetable, perhaps you'd like to look at the postings at currently 61, 64, 89, 96. And, other froggers, perhaps you'll add your thoughts here? to keep current (and in case you're not Beach Bums like Fifi and I?)
I think that's very good of you Eddie, thank you very much.
That's assuming it will be you doing all this stuff - if not, many thanks to you for putting whoever it is up to it. and them for agreeing.
I've been away too long - please please will someone explain the Parma Ham reference to me?
And hi again dear Fearless (5) I hope you will enjoy Christmas with the family and it won't cause you any golden joysick - or even sadsick for that matter !!
Has Roberto explained yet what he meant by WAS a great blog? (under the Gossipmistress's thread - and btw that was a really excellent and clever card).
You go away for just a few days and suddenly everything's confusing. Oh dear dear dear (and btw I nearly killed those three deer on the Chase the other night - they just careered out in front of me. No road sense at all, those deer!)
I think I saw Roberto commenting on Chris Evan's blog as well, I would question his loyalty?!
Oh Eddie,
I was just listening to Simon Mayo on 5 live and I gather there are lots of mince pies around the News 24 area.
Simon and his sports presenter are stuffing them back so thought I'd warn you before they are all gone.
It was an incident that happened a while back Sara.
Eddie promised to play it to us Months ago but never seems to get around to it.
We may be barking up the wrong xmas tree however, as it may not be Parma ham that's served up.
For those that may listen to TalkSport I've just heard that Mike Dicken has died.
I'm quite sad as I used to work with him at both TalkSport and LBC
Thanks Eddie, I promise to be sparkling on the day! X
I mentioned a few days ago that I had a clip of Jon Snow waiting for the news to arrive. It was in fact Barry Jordan :-
But here is Jon Snow and his clock :-
Jonnie: Great stuff! Up there with the greatest of the Jack de Manio gaffes!
Ha ha
I just cheered at the news that Eddie's going to be sending us a present on Christmas Day, and TD went ballistic (in a 17 year old way), she says there's no way the PC is even being switched on then. Hmmm, changed days, I remember when we couldn't get them to move away from it!!
Valery, why not buy her something utterly attention-grabbing and absorbing* for Christmas then, while she is engrossed in it, sneak away...
*She is clearly too young for Johnny Depp, and anyway, he is mine.
That Parma ham'll be off by now, he's left it hanging around out of the fridge for so long.....
Hmm, une bonne idee Appy, I did make the mistake of doing a spot of last minute shopping after a Christmas lunch today - they don't half loosen the purse strings, these lunches, do they?
They certainly do Valery, although I went Christmas shopping with my sister-in-law this evening: After buying ourselves boots, having coffee and booking facials we decided we were tired and so made our way back to the car...
For my punishment I have to go out and do it properly tomorrow.
The moral of the story? Never go Christmas shopping with my sister-in-law, fun as it may be.
Good luck with the shopping Appy!
