Eddie,
Haven't you gone home yet? If you're posting before 6am and still posting at nearly 8pm, don't you think it;s time you got a little work/life balance?
It is not that i want to hear less from you, you understand, but just that I'm a little worried!
Thanks so much for your work on this. It was fun taking part, and hopefully it's things like this which restore our faith in humanity.
Can you come up with something equally pleasant and diverting around the time of the general election? Something with a little less work for you, though, maybe?
GO HOME!!
jeeez.... we appreciate it an' all but, y'know....
we worry....
the link to number 33 is broken I'm afraid.
John (3) yup - there was a problem with the original logging ( we linked it to the wrong thing) but we're aware and will sort.
I'm going through the WOYW pictures ...observations:
* Interesting how many are from overseas (as am I - and we don't even have to pay for a licence) and how many of them chose to listen at 17:00 even though that may be midnight in the UK
* Surprised how many working people are travelling home/at home (I used to feel really lucky if I got off before 18:30pm)
* I'm pleased that I'm not the only person who lives in a messy house with papers etc everywhere... it looks like there are a lot of us out there!
Eddie. As I write this, I trust you are tucked up in bed. Resting. Forget Moscow. Forget the Blog. Rest. Rest. Rest.
Now there's a cat who knows a thing or two....
There must've been a huge amount of effort put into displaying all these and creating the links - thank you:-) ....and I really really hate to ask, but could we have a 'PM Blog' button on the 'Galleries' screens? Or is there a link back and I've missed it (which wouldn't be surprising..)
Oooo look my newsletter's just arrived - 1.09am.
Indeed !
Hello and Happy New Year.
After last week's shenanigans, when newsletters took three days to arrive in your inbox, we didn't even try yesterday. We think it might work today. Isn't it reassuring that some things don't change?
On that topic, I wonder if you're at all interested in the return to the telly tonight of This Life. We may do an item on it in the programme.
Also on our minds: dogs that kill, the price of a railway ticket, how to drive, and a chat with the man they call Mr Wikipedia, Jimmy Wikipedia.
But look, you've probably got a million things to do.
See you on the ice at 5.
Prince Eric Muir MBE.
Love Tilly by the way, gossipmistress.
At least I didn't lower the tone by using 'Mrs Slocombe speak' :-)
Dinner for none, please, James.

A neatly laid, unattended table; I hope it doesn't feel neglected and lonely in a gallery all to itself.
I did make a comment about Mr Smart arse (Dire) on the beach who is stirring it with Ed I
I suggested he looked at Simons beach posting for Molly, ie: that we are all chums and nice to each other.
Explorer then timed out, so the post never made it.
Can I ask that we starve him! He will then tire and leave the beach (I Hope)
Oh Rufus,
I think you meant this link
/radio4/news/pm/galleries/908/1/
And the newsletter arrived at 01-11 this morning.
Lovely.
Jonnie - Tilly isn't my cat, or indeed my photo, I just liked the expression!
I too saw Dire Media's comments on the beach and thought of commenting but then decided to treat them like a pet and ignore the bad behaviour. Although by commenting here I am probably going against my own advice......
Jonnie (13) absolutely agree - complete waste of time feeding trolls - just ignore is best, and I guess if we can all toughen our skins a little it will help. Not having been on the receiving end I haven't felt the hurt directly, but I think the spirit of the blog is quite strong enough to resist this kind of attack on individuals who know they have the support of their fellow frogs.
And please, any lurkers who might be thinking of posting - don't be put off by such occasional unpleasantness.
Eddie,
You have done a fantastic job in logging all the photographs taken on the 5th December. It obviously took much longer than anticipated. I have just spent the last two hours looking though them all and many are very interesting. However I was disappointed with two things. Firstly my photgraph was not posted despite having been sent at 7.20 on the 5th ( Although it may of course be in Gallery 33 which as John Wilson wrote has a broken Web link). Secondly the large number of duplicate pictures icluding 3 the same within two photographs of each other in Gallery 34.
Best of luck in getting the remainder posted.
Yes, my newsletter arrived at 01-11 this morning.
I don't think my WOYW picture has been published yet.
[Trawled through 40 galleries with the pictures switched off]
But perhaps it never reached PM. I had a lot of trouble sending my Christmas "Vyle Hernia on a beach" photo, so maybe I thought I'd sent the 5/12/06 one successfully when I hadn't.
May I add my own congratulations to those of Stewart?
Eddie and the Team have clearly put a tremendous effort into coping with the unexpectedly large response from their inspirational venture, and I'm sure there've been a few quiet (or even loud) curses around the PM office over the last month.
At such a time of the year, too, when people will have had a great deal to do in their own non-PM lives.
Thank you. It is inspiring. If it is ever repeated, I hope it will be at a quieter time of the year news-wise, the summer months, perhaps, when listeners are likely to be out of doors. That would make for some equally interesting photos, especially if those who contributed this time were to take responsibility for pairing their December photos with their 'summer' photos.
Just a thought. But probably not one you'll want to contemplate too deeply at this stage.
Can we be told when all the photos you have recieved have been posted. Then I'll resend mine if it does not appear :-)
I think I saw my "window on the world" snap on this site the other day. Thank you for posting it.
Just a thought; when preparing stories for the programme do you look at the ´óÏó´«Ã½i "have your say" pages? There were some very good points made yesterday (none by me) about the proposal to look at tougher driving tests. Could the best of these have been incorporated into your report?
Jonnie (13) and everyone - have just seen an apology from Dire Media on the Beach. Seems he didn't intend to offend and jonnie's suggestion that he read the beach guide has been effective. Well done to Simon for the original words.
Slightly odd Blog today. I guess there's some maintenance going on, probably WoyW stuff. Hope Eddie, Richard, Lissa, et al, aren't getting too frustrated.
How about cracking open a packet of biscuits, guys?
The longer gallery 33 remains out of reach, the more fascinating its contents become ...
Mr/Ms/Mrs/Miss Media's remarks may be slightly trollish, but only the pathologically thinskinned could take serious offence.
I also feed sparrowhawks (through the intermediation of blue tits, etc.). I used to shoot magpies before they took my guns away, but it wasn't because they rob nests or such, but because one afternoon I followed a ruckus and found five of them surrounding a blackbird fledgling in a ring and taunting it while jeering.... I can handle predation and such, but there'll be no ganging up in my schoolyard!
xx

I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable festive break.
Thanks to everyone at PM who have worked so hard on WoyW.
I was looking through the newer galleries last night. Seeing the world from so many other peoples perspective makes you feel connected to a wider community.
Mine still hasn't been put up. Should I email it again??
Hippie (28) I don't think they're all there yet, and mine's not there yet either.
My WOW picture still hasn't appeared. I'm losing what credibility I had at work as the folks I photographed want to see themselve on the Beeb!
I think its a sneaky way to keep us all looking at your blog, Eddie
WOYW
A couple of things...
Gallery 33 won't work for a while. (We've mistakenly put a Today prog link on so it's messed up. We're trying to fix it but the photo gallery man is still on holiday - lucky him).
re missing photos...please be patient and wait and see if your photos are up once we've put them all up. They are being dealt with in a random fashion so just because you sent it first doesn't mean it's been posted first. Some people have sent emails with no photo attached or only part of a photo attached. If yours still isn't there when they are finally all done then email us again. Sorry - I know it's lame but it's the best I can do.
Cheers
L
Hurrah! Just trawled the inbox and have found Vyle Hernia's 4 attempts to send a photo. I've put it up on Gallery 40. Hopefully my deep dredging will have got all the photos now.
We love you anyway Lissa, and you know it!

Lissa, thank you for doing your best. I for one appreciate the way in which we have been drip-fed the photos as I would not have viewed them all otherwise. At the risk of sounding smug my photo has recently appeared but I'm still looking at the latest ones, still appreciating what a diverse group of listeners we are, still envious of the fascinating jobs some people have, still wishing I could cook as well as some do, still so thankful that I'm not stuck in traffic in the rain with only a speedometer to photograph. It was a brilliant idea, so thanks again for all your hard work.
Lissa we DO appreciate it we DO!
Did you receive mine Lissa? It wasn't very good so don't worry about putting it up if you have, but my email address has been a little temperamental of late.
Oooh, thank you, Lissa. Must go now as the light is showing green.
(I think some of the 4 attempts were the Christmas eve picture of Vyle Hernia on a beach, and not WOYW pictures)
"Find the remnants in Gallery 40."
Whisper it really quietly but I reckon there's only about 100 more photos to go. Eddie's posting 3 more galleries when he gets home tonight. He refuses to believe me but I'm quietly confident. Lx
My previous post seems to have gone walkabout so.....
Lissa we DO appreciate it we do we do we do!
Thank you:-)
Bet it goes on twice now......
Well my WOTW must be one of the last 100 - or lost in the ether somewhere. It wasn't very good, but it would be nice to know where it's gone
Well - mine's still not there, and today I just found the text that I got from the Beeb saying that you'd recieved it on 12th December - ah well, maybe it's just stuck at the back of the drawer again.....
Oops that's what happens when I post in the middle of the night - sb received.......
Val,
Dare I ask if you also might have 'received' the text?
