A Welsh sports journalist who doesn't know which prop is which? (Let alone being able to spell names correctly)

Lo Cicero is a Loosehead (wears number 1) and Castrogiovanni is a Tighthead (wears number 3).

For those who are not Props, this is like selecting wings and centres the wrong way round - the very best players can do both, but most people can't.

PS Has Popham really played better than Leamy?

It's MARTIN Castrogiovanni.

You've got your loosehead and tightheads mixed up.

Popham? Ha ha above Leamy? You must be Welsh.

Horgan after 1 good game?

Three players picked out of their starting positions in the forwards? Lo Cicero & Castro start on opposing sides of the scrum and Popham has only played Blindside Flanker during this Six Nations!

Surly the point of selecting a theoretical "Six Nations Best 15" is to give a balanced selection view based on players performances in their selected positions rather than tinkering with the numbers on their shirts!

Does the correspondent selecting the side understand the difference between Loose Head & Tight Head Prop and Open & Blind side?

i think you had better get in here and clarify that that was a typo (re props) or you should probably stop commenting on rugby (at least union)
and if it wasnt a typo i would lie and pretend it was mate
Leamy should be in there for sure and peel surely? whats your basis for troncon? swansong final journeyman year were italy are improving?
other than thatit seems ok, although by the end of the tourney i think we will all agree that O'Connell will be in there, he has been going off the boil for a wee while - not sure why, but i have a feeling that the england game has him clicked back into form

kind regards

Has anyone considered what Worst XV so far would be? Half-Backs Jones and Cussiter probably in it, along with Grewcock, Farrell and Welsh Front Row (The Jones' Boys)

Did I screw up when I emailed my team at the end of a long weekend shift? Yes. Am I embarrassed about it? Yes. Do I know the difference between a tight-head and a loose-head? Yes. Will you lot believe me and ever give credibility to something I write? Seems unlikely!

As for the Marco Castrogiovanni... that's clearly just lazy racism on my part. Fortunately the sub-editors did correct my selections of Mussolini Bortolami, De Gaulle Skrela and Shamus Horgan.

Anyway, I'm suitably humbled and chastened...
