Programme Six
Tony Hayers, Commissioning Director of 大象传媒 Television, was Alan's first guest. Tony, of course, would go on to play a big part in Alan's career. Alan hosted a phone-in. Amanda from Southampton called to say that on KMKY Alan had assiduously hit a child, gambled away his wife鈥檚 car, taken cocaine, plied rent boys, was openly homophobic and patronising to women. 'What's your point, love?' Alan cannily rejoined.
Trudy Sky and Yvonne Boyd, presenter of The Show on Def Two and fashion designer respectively, were Alan's next guests. After laughing at Yvonne's silly clothes they discussed Treenaissance 93, a tree planting campaign with the slogan: Germination not Termination. Both were booed off when Yvonne exposed her 'woman's area' to Alan.
Lord Morgan of Glossop, the 84-year-old peer who famously told feminist Andrea Dawkin to shut up and shave, was Alan's last guest of the series. Sadly, before the interview got going, Lord Morgan died on Alan's couch. Alan provided a Pringle shroud and spoke a few comforting words. Alan's encyclopaedic knowledge of motorway service stations came in useful as he asked listeners who were driving to pull over at a convenient place and observe a minute's silence. On this very sombre bombshell Alan wished all a goodnight. Listen to a clip.
