Charlotte Church is one of the UK’s most successful and talented young performers. A Welsh icon, classical and contemporary songstress and television hostess, Charlotte knows what it’s like to be a young girl thrust in the spotlight, much like our budding Dorothys.
At the age of 11, Charlotte became an overnight sensation when she sang Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Pie Jesu over the phone on TV show This Morning. Within a year, Charlotte had released her debut album, Voice Of An Angel, which sold over four million copies worldwide. She also became the youngest UK artist ever with a number 1 album.
Charlotte’s musical career since then has included five studio albums, including her pop debut in 2005, Tissue and Issues. As well as charity work, Charlotte has also presented three series of her Friday-night extravaganza The Charlotte Church Show. Charlotte also has two beautiful children, Ruby and Dexter, with her Welsh rugby boyfriend, Gavin Henson.
As well as joining the new Over The Rainbow Panel, Charlotte is currently working on her sixth studio album, due for release in the autumn.
