Although best known for his role as Christian Clarke in EastEnders, John Partridge is a veteran of the stage. In fact, his best known roles are in some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s best known musicals, including Cats and Starlight Express.
John originally trained as a ballet dancer before joining the touring cast of Cats in 1988. Years later, he starred in the West End production of Cats as Rum Tum Tugger and Mukustrap, before performing as Rum Tum Tugger in the film production of the show, produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. John has also played lead roles in Starlight Express, Miss Saigon, Rent and Taboo, amongst many others.
Most recently John can be seen playing the part of Jane Beale’s brother Christian in EastEnders – winning himself an army of fans and an award in 2009 for Inside Soap’s Sexiest Male!
