Concert Information

Many will recognise and love Tchaikovsky鈥檚 wonderful, voluptuous ballet score that fills the second half of tonight鈥檚 concert. But the music of the celebrated English eccentric Lord Berners provides an enjoyable if unfamiliar curtain-raiser, as high spirited, quick-witted and determinedly unconventional as the man himself. An arrangement and an original by composer friends Constant Lambert and William Walton and a film-score suite by Peter Dickinson complete the programme.
