Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem

Concert Information

Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem was written not for the dead, but for the living. The composer himself called it a ‘human’ requiem – other-worldly music to accompany those seeking to transcend the human condition. In this performance, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra joins forces with the Philharmonia Chorus, whose performances of Brahms’ beloved masterwork have been acclaimed for their full-bodied, expressive power. Simon Keenlyside and Sarah-Jane Brandon are the accomplished soloists.
