Alan's
interest in watercolour and pastel painting was revived around 10
years ago, but more recently his interest in pastel painting has
taken off considerably.
Using
bright, defined colours in a modern theme, takes inspiration from
pastel artists Norman Smith and Barry Watkin.
He
feels pastel painting in this way is exiting, enjoyable, very satisfying,
and has been proved popular and sought after.

Alan
is a member of both Wolverhampton and Worcester Society of Artists
in addition to being a very active member of Bevere Vivis Gallery
and Picture Framers in Worcester exhibiting work regularly at the
gallery, along with floral paintings by his daughter Claire.
Alan's
paintings are held in many homes in the UK, and as far away as Hong
Kong, Dallas, New York and Los Angeles.
