Hedgehog
& butterfly by Valerie Briggs |
She
has concentrated her natural ability on British Wildlife; particularly
the carnivores, which she feels have been neglected by many artists
due to their mainly nocturnal habits.
She
works from nature whenever possible, spending time to watch and
sketch in the wild, and at private breeding and rescue centres.

Wren
feeding young by Valerie Briggs |
Valerie
paints her finished paintings in her studio at home. Besides painting
wild animals Valerie has a favourite 'pet' subject, her cats.
She
fosters cats herself, and for the cat fancier offers Feline Friends
- capturing a personal moment in time in watercolour of your feline
friend(s) in your home or garden.
Valerie
teaches one-day workshops and always has a selection of her work
on show at Bevere Vivis Gallery and Picture Framers.
