My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥y grandmother鈥檚 house was destroyed in one of the many air raids but our house, four doors away was damaged but quickly repaired. Gran and 2 uncles moved in with us. This happened as people lost everything, families and neighbours made room for more. Usually a two up two down house would house 10 or 12. I have never forgotten the any young local lads and young men who gave their lives. They should always be remembered.
