My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥y grandmother鈥檚 house was destroyed in one of the many air raids but our house, four doors away was damaged but quickly repaired. Gran and 2 uncles moved in with us. This happened as people lost everything, families and neighbours made room for more. Usually a two up two down house would house 10 or 12. I have never forgotten the any young local lads and young men who gave their lives. They should always be remembered.
