I had a bicycle with a hosepipe on the front, and I had one or two good experiences. I can remember peddling down the Fosse Andre, full speed, we were having a race downhill there, and I came off. I went sailing through the air and landing on my face, but fortunately I had my school bag between my face and the road, otherwise I鈥檇 be more scarred than I am. But you know this used to happen quite often, it was just one of the hazards of life really, you didn鈥檛 worry too much about it.
