School was resumed on a once a week basis. There were two
teachers on duty at Morden Terrace School, Lewisham, for
children remaining in London. Work was taken in to be marked
and the next week's work given out. Later on, school was
resumed with classrooms in use until I was ready to leave, on
reaching the age of fourteen. I stayed on until the Easter term
of 1941. I still have my letter of recommendation to work,
written and signed by the Headmistress, Miss Woodward.
During the blitz, the school was bombed and it was rebuilt as
Morden Mount.
