The Greenwich Heritage Centre is a new way of telling the history of this fascinating borough in one stunning location in the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich.
The Inside the Arsenal exhibition tells amazing story of the Royal Arsenal and the surrounding area through the lives of the people who lived there. Starting with Henry VII's dockyard in the 16th century and the origins of the Arsenal as a munitions depot, the exhibition charts the Arsenal's sometimes explosive journey through 400 years of history including the WW2 period.
The Heritage Centre also has family history resources, temporary exhibitions and much more.
Visiting the Centre is free and we are interested in people's stories of WW2, especially those who worked at the Royal Arsenal.
