I was married with one child and my father worked at Lucas鈥檚 in Birmingham. I worked there to in the view room and then later I worked in the public health sector, looking after disabled people. We used to have to run to the shelters, frightened for our lives. In the shelters it was not very nice, terrible. There was water on the floor but we were glad of it as it saved our lives.
