Impact Initiatives -
St. John's Centre: Who we are :

Impact Initiatives (Impact) provides assistance across Sussex for children, young people, adults and older people in need.
St. John's Centre is an Impact project for older people in the Brighton and Hove area of Sussex, UK. St Johns provides social and educative activities, outings and general support.

St Johns also has a cafe for over 60s and a computer centre with regular supported drop-in sessions and training events.

These services aim to maintain and increase the physical and psychological well being of older people and contributing to this site should enhance this process for members.

St Johns members have many wartime stories to tell and will be adding them to this site, sometimes with help from a member of staff.

We would be happy for anyone who had similar experiences to those of St. John's members to contact us through the channels on this site. We are especially interested in making links with other centres for older people.

Our email address is:

Impact Initiatives is a registered charity whose overall aim is improve quality of life for people who are vulnerable or excluded from some of the day-to-day work and pleasures that many of us take for granted. This is achieved by providing a range of specialist, locally based services that in different ways help support health, independence and learning.
