I was 5 years old in 1939. I was evacuated from Liverpool to Llanelli in Wales. My own parents were both killed in the Liverpool raids so I stayed with Mr & Mrs Pryor, where I was evacuated. They adopted me. I still live in Wales. I had brothers and sisters in Liverpool. I suppose they would be old age pensioners now like me. I never saw them again.

(This story was collected at the Severn Valley Railway 1940s weekend and submitted to the People's War site by a volunteer from Wyre Forest Volunteer Bureau on behalf of Jack Pryor and has been added to this site with his permission. Mr Pryor fully understands the site's terms and conditions.)
