Burying the dead

This photograph shows some of the graves that had to be dug for those that died. 10,000 unburied dead were found at this camp, another 13,000 died shortly after.

This photograph was submitted to the People’s War site by Becky Barugh of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire CSV Action Desk on behalf of John Young who has very kindly shared his Father’s photos with us. It has been added to the site with Mr Young’s permission and he fully understands the site's terms and conditions.
