Belsen Concentration Camp - the smouldering site.
Belsen was burned to the ground by flamethrowers because of a typhus epidemic and lice infestation.
This photograph was submitted to the People’s War site by Becky Barugh of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire CSV Action Desk on behalf of John Young who has very kindly shared his Father’s photos with us. It has been added to the site with Mr Young’s permission and he fully understands the site's terms and conditions.
