My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥eing taken into the air raid shelter wrapped in a blanket. The shelter was in the garden. My brother was in the Horse Guards and my other brother was in the Royal Engineers in France. His wife was 21 years old when she died as he was coming home on compassionate leave. They had a one year old son.
