My recollection after 60yrs of the Evacuation of myself C.J.A.PETIT, aged 11yrs nine months in June 1940, And the Family and the stay on the Mainland England, during the war years,

My Father and mother would also attend Channel Islanders meetings in Lincoln, and I would occasionally Attend some of the meetings, when my Mother had a baby Girl and another mouth to feed I would take Her place to accompany my Father, who was the secretary of that area, it was good to meet other Channel Islanders ,some were local residents, and some were evacuees as ourselves, and of course Many were known to each other.
