My Grandad in the 2nd world war

My Grandad had a to much of an important manual job so he did not fight in the war. Because he was working for royles royce making engines for spitfires, he was not able to join the army as he wanted but he stayed in his own town to assist his country in a different way.

What you must not forget is that doing things like making aircraft engines was vitally important and without that the Servicemen could not have done their jobs
