As told by Mrs Waddington

I worked on propellers for Mosquitoes: I did veneers for the propellers. Mosquitoes were mostly made of wood. We worked on the second floor, and we were fastest down the stairs when the alarm went.
My husband was a night worker, making explosives. As he went off I came on and I came off he went on. My hours were 8 to 6, and one day a week I had to do night work. I hated it. I hated the job. The airmen came and told us how much they appreciated what we were doing.
