My wife and I got married on the 26th May 1945, that was the time when I was in Folkestone, and I got leave for the weekend.
I came home on Friday 25th May, and we were married on May 26th, and I returned to the Army on Sunday May 27th.
Then I didn’t come home again until the September 1945. Time just came and went.
