During 1942 I left Staines after working for Cohen which later became Tesco. I had been evacuated from East London, I was advised to go into the women section of the armed forces, navy section in Whitehall London. We worked alternate transit days and nights and Churchill had one near. These codes coudl tell just where our warships were. My father was living in Staines and I lived with my sister and her husband. I was living near the docks with all the bomb raids. I was doing decoding work day and night.
