From Typescript by Tom jehan, 2005

From time to time the Royal Air Force dropped leaflets giving the local population information and assuring us that as British citizens we had not been forgotten.
One day, returning from school, I spotted a leaflet stuck in the branches of a tree bordering the lane. I loved climbing trees and so I parked my cycle against the hedge and up the tree I went. Having successfully reached my target I came down clutching the leaflet, only to find a German Officer standing by my bike! As my feet touched the ground he shouted "Vas ist dat?" and snatched the leaflet from me and went on his way without me even having the opportunity to read the message!
