During the tragic raid on Dieppe during W.W.2 many brave men lost there lives amongst them was my uncle Lt E. Graham R.N.V.R. During heavy shelling the landing craft on which he was serving received hits from machine gun fire. as he closed the beach. Owing to his height of just over six feet tall he received fatal wounds. His body now lies in a french cemetary after having been found several days later further along the coast. Please read W.W.2 War office publication Combined Operations where this is mentioned.
