My lasting Memory of World War II is………………after the blitz on Saturday and Sunday going down Trafford Road to see what damage had been done on Monday morning. Everybody was going to work, glass all over the place, but what amazed me was a huge landmine had settled just outside Salisbury Hotel and people were passing by as if it were not there.
