There are many individual stories entered as linked pages available from my web sites at About links and About links . The first of these is based on my father's autobiography. Alas he is no longer with us but he gave me the bulk of this information before he passed away. His Halifax was shot down during a raid on Duisberg in 1942 and he was incarcerated in Stalagluft III until the end of the war.
Don Hall was his bomb aimer (still living in Canada) and both he and the rest of the crew (other than the mid-upper gunner who was killed in the crash)were imprisoned in Stalag 8B, Lamsdorf. His navigator, Jack Patterson (another Canadian), is also still alive and well. The content of both web sites outline many of the things these men experianced during their time at these two camps and any individual chapter would provide a useful entry on this site.
