Bombs over Wolverhampton

A bomber from Liverpool jettisoned its load over Wolverhampton. Three houses next to Tettenhall College, where I went to school, were bombed. Boarders at the school slept in the cellars and were blown out of bed. I lived one mile away thought that the bomb was close. The local scouts helped people to clear up damage to their houses. One old lady slept through it all and although her house was damaged she was found to be still asleep in bed
