When I as 14 world war wo was declared, So I had to go to school to get evacuated.I was evacuated to Eastburne. After 9 months later I moved to Wales were my carers were paid 25 shillings a week to look after me. I came back to London in 1942, where I lived over a shop. When the airraids where going on I used have to go down to the cellar through it. When I was 18 I asked for the lady dispach officers, worked and trained at Hendon Police Station. When I was working there I used to ride BSA blue royal enfield bike. I also did another job once a week watching fires and I got paid 3+ sixpeance. I used to be a land girl where I had to pick potaato in bedfordshire, near the air force while i was there i picked peas as well. I also did a job at the home office.
