J.F. BLAKEY
I was born on a farm at Lustleigh on the edge of Dartmoor in 1925. My memories of the occasion are not of any consequence. Eventually the family moved to Exeter and life proceeded t the normal pace for those time.
The start of the war in 1939 did not at first make a great difference. The bombing of Exeter altered life for many people. I went to live at Stoke Canon in 1942. Rebuilding of our house was finished quickly and eventually we returned to Exeter and normal life was resumed.
