Bombers dropped parachute mines aiming for Hoobrook Railway but fortunately missed. Further down Franchise Street on the corner of Hume Street was a sweetie shop. My brother saw a bomber fly very low on the way back from the sweet shop. He saw the bomb doors open, and a parachute and a para mine come out. He was convinced it would land on our house, when he came in he was as white as a sheet and so scared.
