My lasting Memory of World War II is………………During an air raid warning at Christmas, I spent the night in the basement of the Togo Mill at Trafford Road. Emerging in the morning I found that there were no buses going into Trafford Park as the fire brigade hoses were all over the road, so I had to walk. When I arrived at work there was just a large hole where the office had been and the only thing left was the black cat which wandered out of the debris.
