Father was minesweeping off Grimsby in 1941. Mother would meet him in the car to collect a jerry can of fuel off the boat. Jerry can was put into a suitcase and was supposed to be dirty washing. Dock policeman came up and offered to carry the case. When he commented about the weight of the suitcase father said it was books!
