My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥he blitz when nurses lost their lives at Salford Royal Hospital. My sister was visiting my Father who was a patient at the time. Luckily, they were alright but the next night, as most patients were transferred to Hope Hospital, they went to visit and Hope Hospital was bombed and Mr Giles and many more were killed.
