I was born in 1936 and was a child during World War Two.

My father was in the Air Force. He was hurt.

My mum had 10 children. I went to live with a foster mother.

In the air raids we hid under the table. Me and my sister hid under the table eating sweets. We were not frightened. We came out when we heard the all clear siren.

We had ration books to get our food.

I had happy times in the war with my foster parents. They were good to me.

Florrie Bungay (Born 9.12.36)
