This story was collected and transcribed my Mark Jeffers with permission from the author. The author understands the terms and conditions.
I used to live opposite St Marks church in Lisburn, up on the hill. There are houses all around there now but it was all fields then; Elmwood Church car park was our orchard. There was a farmer and he lived on the Brokerstown Road, his name was Duncan and one of his fields got a bomb in it. A huge crater it made. People came from far and near to see it. A plane was coming over and dropped a bomb, I don鈥檛 know why. There weren鈥檛 any lights or anything there that they could have aimed at something. With being in the country we were not really in the middle of it.
