We had an Morrison shelter indoors, like a big iron cage. My sister and I used to play with our toys inside it. But the day the bomb fell in Moberley Road I wasn`t in the shelter, I was on the loo, the outside loo which we all had! My mother came running to get me to come indoors.
The bay window was shattered and the ceiling came down. Roy, my husband, whom I didn`t know then, saw the bomb falling out of the German plane.
