[tell us about the VE day parties]
In a couple of hours they had enough money.
They knocked on the doors and said 鈥渨e鈥檙e going to have a street party.鈥
Lemonade and buns and stuff, nothing much.
Some places they cooked nice scones, wheaten bread and so on.
