ANN WOOD

Came to Silverton 1942 to live in a thatch cottage with no water indoors or television.

Central heating was a coal fire, but I grew to love it and the village life. I married in Scotland, my husband came from the village and we settled and had a wonderful life.

I came when I was 22 and now 82 and hope to enjoy many more years.

I had an office job in Exeter in a parachute factory for 3 years.
