Was food rationed in India?
Yes when the war started ,rationing was introduced and everything was under control. Prices also had gone up because food and other necessities of life were not easily available.
What sort of things were rationed?
Food,paraffin oil and cloth and so many other things like metal.Metal was needed for making guns,arms rifles and other things.There was also a shortage of change.
We couldn't get change for our money, if we gave a rupee and had spent half a rupee the shopkeeper used to give us postage stamps instead.
