The following extracts were taken from interviews gathered during the Bradford Schools Linking Project, which brought together children from across the Bradford district.
The children interviewed older people from different community groups to find out their experiences of World War II.This gave a much needed muticultural perspective of the war.
The interviews were filmed at the National Museum of Photography,Film and Television and shown as part of their VE day celebrations.
