THREE LITTLE PIGS!
During the war when one was allowed to keep a pig —a second pig had to be reared at the same time and this would be given to the Ministry of Food. A relative of a friend who followed this procedure decided to keep a third pig for ‘others’. Having used one for his own family’s consumption and given the other to the Ministry he set about delivering the various portions of the third pig.. The easiest mode of transport was the baby’s pram! The very nature of his deliveries dictated that they should be undertaken under the cover of darkness. He had not been out for long before he met local Bobby doing his rounds he stopped to talk to the friend and commented on the fact that he was out late with the baby — his reply was that he walking the baby to get him off to sleep!! Very fortunately and to the great relief of the friend the Bobby did not look into the pram.
