Some of Jenny's photos of France before the War that were sent to the War Office.
This story has been added to the People's War website by Marie on behalf of Jenny with her permission. Jenny fully understands the sites terms and conditions.
The attached are photos of the Brittany Coast which were taken on a family holday in 1932. I was only 3 at the time. When the War started we sent them to the War Office as they requested. I can only assume they thought they might be useful.
By this point I was 10 and I can remember the big guns going up and down the railway, and lying under the seats of the school bus during air raids.
I also remember buying fruit cake on saturdays and going to the clothing exchange. It was all such a long time ago now.
