Mrs. Ahmed鈥檚 story

When I was young I used to go to my grandmothers small village in Punjab, Pakistan. The lady that lived next door to my grandmother had a husband who went to fight in Burma. During this was her husband went missing however she did not loose any hope. Everyday she waited in hope for him thinking he would turn up. Every time there was a knock on the door she thought it was her husband. Soldiers that survived and came back to the village and she asked them if they had seen her husband. She waited longing in hope but there was never any news and he never turned up.
