I鈥檓 not sure whether Marsh was driving the truck, or if he was in the back of the truck when they entered Brussels, but the people were so excited they were throwing cans of beer, flowers, he said the reception was terrific.
I suppose they drank all this beer, and went on their way. Because they鈥檇 drank so much, they were all bursting to spend pennies, but of course, they couldn鈥檛 get out of the truck. Eventually they got just outside Brussels, and they saw a wall. They all jumped out and spent a penny against this wall, and it made almost a river - running down the pavement.
